This is my favorite topic offlate.Remember, i was talking about my apartment that i moved in in my earlier posts...finally its almost done.Phew!!!!!!!
First things first.I absolutely love it!!!Its proximity to everything.A beautiful resort apartment overlooking the hills. And yes, that's not enough. It also had a pool facing view....Yeahhhh:)Palm trees, misty hill view-what more could one ask.And above all its so commodious.
I have few friends visiting me this Thanksgiving.I'm hoping to have a whole open house hippy vibe established, where people can just come over with a bottle of vodka or a packet of chips and sit and chill all day. We even got our superfast wi-fi going, so we're all good.
I'm peaced out. Long may it last.

Chicago with Tanu and Amit
Chicago was a much awaited trip.We had planned to do a road trip.Initially i was mighty skeptical about a 12 hour long drive, still mustered courage and undertook it.
Glad that i undertook it,Chicago is such a beautiful city to say the least. The drive was breath-taking.Misty clouds, smell of the rain, lush green trees on both sides of the road...wow what an experience! We would take frequent breaks to stretch ourselves. To my dismay,it didn't turn out to be as exhaustive that i had perceived it to be. In fact, now i think i kinda like cross country drives:-)
We reached Chicago around 10 in the night. We were welcomed with torrential rains and zero visibility. That one hour drive through the downtown was the most stressful part of the whole journey. However,i forgot it all as soon as i saw Tanu and Amit.Their flat was so cute and commodious at the same time.I loved the way Tanu had done up her apartment and more so to see her happy and content at the same time.
This isn't the end of it all.I spent close to a week with her and visited Shambhavi,my friend from college and couple of relatives too.The sumptuous food was the highlight of the trip;-)...i feasted wherever i went.

Tonic and Anu in NYC
Well this picture that you see here is Anu.One of my college friends. She was in town and we caught up in Tonic.NYC's desi club.It was great to have her around. Not to mention all the fun that we had all night long.It was great!
Its always so good to have friends over in a country which is alien to you.No matter how attuned one gets to the lifestyle, one always misses the smell of one's soil. And when you find people around you who remember you..its sheer bliss.
My last few days in east coast was great.I made a trip to Chicago which was one of the memorable trips that i had.Shall write about it too.
Cheers Guys:-)
